Last night we attended an awesome banquet hosted by Kairos Church Planting. Kairos trains church planters how to plant new churches. We have been blessed to go through the training process with them and we feel more and more confident in our ability as lead church planters. It was a great evening with great food and even greater company.
We invited the house church we are a part of through our church, Ethos. We also invited a friend from college who now attends Ethos. It was great to spend an evening getting to better know our new friends and catch up with old friends. We caught up with a friend who is planting a church in Puyallup, Washington and continued growing a newer friendship with a couple planting a church in Maryland. It was fun being with friends from Kentucky, L.A., Maryland, Washington and, of course, Tennessee. But most important it was great to be reminded of the mission that we are all a part of. We got to hear stories of redeemed lives and the pursuit of God's lost people. It is an honor to know so many bold people who are entering the world of unbelief in proclamation of what Christ has done. But it is more an honor to be reminded that God is a God who seeks lost people.
This is the mission we are on: to pursue people who are not yet Christians in order to share the love of Jesus with them. Is this the mission you are on?
